Sconce Design Styles

Sconces come in a wide variety of designs. We have included some of our favorites.

Rustic: Copper

Do you like the rustic cowboy look? Copper sconces reflect a rustic and/or cowboy theme. If you like a down to earth style, this is for you.

Pin Hole

We really love this sea anemone sconce. The pin holes create a beautiful design. Other artists create sconces out of stainless steel with a diffused lighting pattern created by tiny pin holes in the steel. Diffussed lighting more evenly disperses the light.

Lamp Shade

Many sconces look just like a lamp with a gooseneck mounted to the wall. They look like a lamp because they have a mini shade on them. Most of the light is pushed down.

Electric

Most sconces are electric. Electric sconces have the most power and replace traditional lamp lighting. They save space by going on the wall instead of tables and floors.

Battery

Battery sconces are not powerful, but are ideal for convenience. If you need a light right away and don't want to call an electrician a battery sconce is for you. Some battery sconces are quite unique. One battery operated sconce made by Discovery Toys is shaped like a moon and changes moon phases by remote control. It captures the essence of sconces, great design and functional.

Chandelier

Chandelier sconces are extroardinary. The light bounces of the crystals and creates a prizm show. They are expensive yet beautiful.
