Sconce Light Applications

When sconce lights are used for artistic expression, they can be put nearly anywhere in the home or office. However, there are times that using a sconce light also makes economical sense.

High Ceilings

If the ceiling is over 10 feet sconce lights make perfect sense. Ceiling lighting on tall ceilings have four disadvantages: 1- they are difficult to install and 2- light is lost on the way down and 3- shadows are created and 4-try changing the light bulb. Sconce lightes eliminate these problems because they can be installed at the appropriate height.

Save Electricity

A long hallway needs enough light so that you can walk without hitting obstacles and to see the doorways and doorknobs. Hallways do not need to have enough lighting to read a book (unless it's a school). Low watt sconce lights save money by giving only the necessary light for spaces that aren't used often or spaces that don't need a lot of light.

Stair Wells/Hallways

Again, you don't need a lot of light in stairwells. Stairwells have the disadvantage of high ceilings and not needing premium lighting. Sconce lights are the perfect solution for sconce lights.

Home Doorway

Try finding a ceiling for your home entry door. In most cases, a sconce light is the only option. Entry sconce lights keep your home safe because dark homes attract criminal activity. The most popular style is black metal with clear glass.
