The Primary Home
If the sconce is for your home, please consider design and effect before
price. Prices do not fluctuate enough to warrant purchasing solely on
price. Once the good deal is over, you will regret purchasing on price.
How the item goes with your home is the most important point to consider.
Plan on spending around $100.00 for a good home wall sconce.
The Secondary Home
If the sconce is for a second home, vacation property, or rental unit,
you may wish to purchase a $20.00 sconce that just completes the job.
It's not worth spending many hours of labor and time to pick out the perfect
sconce for the one week vacation per year or a rental unit you don't live
in. Some rentals, in luxurious areas, are exceptions and will warrant
the higher effor to obtain the perfect sconce.
Non Light Sconce
Not every sconce has a light. For thousands of years sconces have been
created out of stone and metal. They are a decorative addition to exterior
walls. For outdoor looks consider a stone or metal sconce for your garden.
It will look great even it doesn't light up. Why, you might ask? Sometimes
we have adequate lighting already and just want to create a theme or romantic
feel to our home or garden. An outdoor sconce is like crown molding on
the inside of our home. It makes the decor feel more luxurious.
